I'm notorious for distroying drivetrain. I drive the car hard and have upgraded axles clutch and flywheel. I keep running into transmission issues. I have a stock ap1 with 165,xxx miles motor is solid. The trans that was originally in the car I completely blew 2nd gear and 4th gear synchro was on its way out. I bought a used ap1 trans with 90k on it and a few months after I blew out first. Wondering if anyone has any tips for an oem plus build I could do without paying an arm and a leg for..thank you

 

If you want a stronger transmission it wont cost and arm and a leg. You'll need to throw a kidney in too.

 

then learn to drive. V160 trans sounds like your next option.
