Is it possible? I have a MY01 s2000 and i really like the look of the ap2 gauge clusters. Is it possible to plug and play with them? Since its electronic would the miles on the odometer be correct? Main reason i'm asking is because i would like a clock and temp gauge in easily accessible access. Thanks

No the miles would def be wrong unless the cluster was removed from the AP2 at the same amount of miles that is on your car.

 

The mileage is stored in the cluster.

8k redline unless you import a UK cluster.

The wiring harness is very different - or so I've been told because...................

I've been researching this for a long time. The UK one would satisfy our needs (9K, clock, temp (air)) but it isn't plug-n-play. You have to be in tight with an electronics guy in order to re-work the harness.

The speed sensor electronic pulse is different than the Ap1. I believe the AP1 uses a 14ohm pusle as the AP2 uses a 18ohm pulse. I don't know of anyone that has a conversion kit for it, as the wiring is a b*tch. Ask Modifry, he might be able to make one for ya
