Default Vented CF Hood

I'm going to buy a vented cf hood for my ap1.

I was looking for a group buy or something but it seems like there's nothing going on currently.

I know there are many good brands, but is there any brand or model that I should AVOID to buy?

seibon & VIS are the two most popular if you're looking for a replica part. i have a seibon and the fitment is really good. should be able to get one for around $600 shipped. check the FS forum though there are usually a few for sale

I also have a seibon CF hood, fitment is great but watch out for slamming your hood, because you can push on the carbon fiber all you want and it wont crack, but if you slam the hood to hard it will get spider cracks through it, also I guess some things have hit my hood and it leaves cracks that look like spider webs.... they are not that noticable and no biggie and it looks way better than stock in my opinion

I pesonally like the ASM hoods. They have channels to guide rain away from the engine towards the front latch.

I've got a Seibon OEM CF hood and love it. Fitment was perfect. As for vented hoods, as long as they have channels for water, you should be fine going with the well known name.
