Wouldn't be surprised if it's warped, I've had the exact same thing with two previous Seibon hoods + other issues
I'm sure they also make good stuff and maybe I was just unlucky, but those are brands I try to stay away from now. I hope you can get it fixed, or you can atleast return the hood if it's actually warped.

Default Warped

I think it's warped not hitting the valve cover and it's not hitting the rubber bumper by 3/16 of an inch on that side which is consistent with gap. Hoods a year old, going to have to live with it. I complained to vivid racing and took pics. Vis said a 1/4 is with in there tolerance for gaps. It is what it is. This winter I might put a 50lbs bag on that side of hood and see if it will stay. Weave, latch, drivers side and front are perfect. So passenger side is slightly off. I don't think it's worth 4 grand for an authentic mugen and I don't like the dry carbon look!

Ironically my $600 vented CF hood from ebay fit perfectly, with no warps. Too bad there seems to be so much inconsistencies with the aftermarket panels, no matter how much you spend it seems. Saying that much warp/gap is within their spec is ridiculous.

Orrrr instead of shelling out for poorly fitting hoods, you could just tell everyone you painted your carbon fiber hood and nobody would know! The s2000 factory hood is already pretty light anyways! Or just wrong the factory one for a lot less money! I would have been throwing a fit if that was my car and i just paid all that money for the hood i would have either asked for another or sent it back.

Default It is what it is.

I love the hood. from 2ft away it's very hard to tell. I have the factory hood in mint condition. I could have put it back on but I won't.

My cf hood actually weighs exactly 1lb more then the factory aluminum hood. Hard to beat the weight of thin aluminum. Weight is not why I got the cf hood, I even painted it so you wouldn't even know it was cf anyway. I liked the look and function of the venting, and dont care enough for cutting out vents on the factory hood.
