i would get a k&n FIPK intake, test pipe or HFC, exhaust, header, VAFC in that order. I personally still have not gotten an exhaust, because I drive mine everyday as well and don't want to deal with the drone. eventually i'd like to get the Fukitsubo exhaust, but i'm going with those other bolt-ons first

thank you neveronlines2k this helps alot! im new to the s2k and all this info helps! the only reason i dont really want ot go with boost is cuz i read too many horror stories about cars being broke for more time then they run and i cant afford that as well.... im not trying to have a screaming fast car i just wanna be a little quicker than some of the others ha ha so any more suggestions? waht brands are good as far as like a HFC and a VAFC? i havent really started the research on thosse as heavy. like i said i had a skunk2 muffler and i loved the sound of it so i will probably get one for this and do a single exhaust and what about a header...i know alot of people say this and others say that..is there really much difference other than brand name?

A light weight flywheel and pressure plate will put more power to the ground, HTG sells a package setup for that. I just bought mine and it's really fun to drive. The RPM doesn't drop to far below and the clutch catches a lot faster and I get a little more power to the ground case of the lighter flywheel, but it didn't add more hp just optimizing the current power the produces.
Also, you can try this free mod as well, I'm going to try this out today if the weather holds up, but I'm going to re-route my coolant lines from the TB this will open up a few more hp but won't give you more. This mod is to keep the air going in to the intake manifold cooler so you don't get heat soak, that is one of the leading cause of hp loss.
Don't bother with a HFC, just get a test pipe with cel fix. HFC is a little more expensive then a test pipe and won't give you that much gain then a test pipe.

Well you said you wanted to make power? If you buy an AEM it will be well over a grand and after tuning probably be nearing 2G's (unless you pick one up used).

The S doesn't make power as easy as a B series or K series motor does. Plus N/A is never a cheap route to go. I say you just put a blower on it if you think 1000.00 for an intake is pricey, I mean most decent headers will run you more than that and make less power than the PWJDM intake.

Thats why I think you should just go with boost, Cams have not been proven to work unless you want to get the Hytech set up (which makes the PWJDM intake look CHEAP in comparison).

If you go the "vafc highflow cat 2.5 inch exhaust and header and CAI" you will make a few HP but its not going to be a huge difference (you'll probably notice the reduction in weight as much as the increase in HP).

As far as what would your HP be? There is no way I could answer that... do you have an AP1 or AP2? Whats the baseline HP? What type of dyno will you be going to? Way to many variables for me to even attempt to guess the HP increase.

It sounds more like you want large gains for the money spent. If thats the case buy a Comptech/Kraftworks/Vortech supercharger and be done with it.

Good luck!
Do you have the PWJDM intake? I do.

If it makes power, I have yet to feel it. In fact, I think I have lost a little bottom end. It sounds good but thats about it. The people writing all these great reviews are getting the hook up. My car is not any faster now than it was before I installed the intake. Its just louder when I stick my foot in it.

So stop telling people to drop a grand on this intake.

i would say run a supercharger on low boost...keeps it reliable and is faster than most N/A s2000's. Along with a down pipe, exhaust and an aftermarket ECU...hondata or something... it's kinda expensive but best bang for buck!

OP, the s2k is not a Civic so you need to be prepared to spend more $ on aftermarket parts for it.

If you want to go cheap, get an AEM intake, test pipe and 70MM exhaust. You can also get a tune with VAFC or NEO or greddy emanage to take full advantage of your mods.

There aren't any cams readily available that make power. Your best bang for the buck is a test pipe with a 70mm single exhaust. Should cost about a grand and should give you up to 12whp.

wow finally some honest reviews!! i know it was insanely rediculous for an intake and that there was no way it could be worth it... thank you guys for the help on everything... so now i guess my next question would be on the tuning side of things.... what vafc is good?? i have heard of apexi vafcII but not really sure on where to get one or anything like that... are there anyothers out
