What to get...
I have a test pipe, it makes it sound better imo. Its not really louder, it just has a nicer sound to it. You wont make to much power, but its one of the cheapest, most effective thing you can buy for the s2000 power wise if NA. Also I wouldnt get Megan lowering springs. If your going to do it, do it right the first time. It mostly depends on what kind of drop you want. I didnt want to much of a drop since where I live there are monster curbs and speed bumps, so the tanabe gf210's were perfect for me with a 0.8" drop. Most people just do a 1" drop though. How low are you thinking about going?
well i just ordered a moddiction shift knob lol...impulse buyer sometimes. I wouldnt want to drop too much probably an inch, i already have scrubbed 2 or 3 times at the stock height and ive only had the car 2 and a half weeks, ill have to get used to this, the s2k is lower stock than my lowered 07 civic si was
Nice, yeah I think maybe just keep the shift knob, and get the test pipe and save the rest for now. Just learn how to drive the car properly and everything so when you do lower it some, you will kinda know what to expect and how to baby it through dips and stuff. Just my opinion.

Well a 70mm even on the stock exhaust wont hurt anything really. I just got a 60mm to match my stock exhaust, and im not planning on getting a bigger exhaust anytime soon. If your really going to get a 70mm exhaust soon go ahead and get the 70mm then. I have the Invidia test pipe I got from Evasive, here is a link to their page. Just go down and I would get the one with the built it CEL fix. http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/evasive_...da_S2000_Intake
Good luck man!

Seriously, alarm and track time. If you don't have the first one you're begging for a slashed top and stolen seats. The second one will help you enjoy the car much more, and possibly save you/your car.
Maybe you're safer in a small town but eventually you do go to a big city right? I have an alarm now, and just went to a club downtown one night, and came back to my car to notice a small cut on my top. Maybe 2" long or something. I'm sure they were trying to steal my seats (again?) but the alarm deterred them. I ended up patching it for like $20, big difference compared to replacing the whole top and seats, even if you have a low deductible.
You tend to think, "it can never happen to me", and yet when it comes to the S it happens to A LOT of us. Almost happened to me twice, had it not been (most likely) because of the alarm.
If everyone took small preventative measures, I'm sure we'd all be paying much lower insurance premiums.
Also about track time, I bet that if each one of us spent 2 days at the track, (around $300 altogether), our at-fault accident rates would go down AT least 50%. I know my brief track experience has saved me on a few times on less-than-perfect weather conditions. Track time REALLY does pay itself off, especially on this car. And plus it's one of the few ways to TRULY enjoy this car for what it's for. And it's a skill you keep for the rest of your life.
