Default What is a good car battery replacement?

Merry Christmas guys! my car batteries died on christmas from 10pm-11:30pm and I was stuck on the streets for a while until my friends came over to jump start my battery.

I'm going to change the battery myself but I would like to try out a aftermarket or close to oem type of car batteries that will have the same power and saves off some weight ( at least 10-15lbs) let me know guys. Thanks!

^Agree

Many elect to use Optima Yellow batteries.

I wish AC Delco made batteries for the S2000. The OEM battery in my 2001 Trans Am started the car instantly, everytime for 10+ years. I even stored the car with the battery connected through the winter months for years.

I use this . It is a battery that is stronger than the factory battery but it isn't lighter in any way. It's a good quality battery at a decent price.

yeah I wish it wasn't so but I feel I've lost a little juice by switching to the Odyssey 680 race battery...but it saved a whole lot of weight...just gotta throw it on trickle charge if you're gonna leave it sitting for a week

but overall I love it...combined w/the PWJDM billet mount it looks amazing

Is the Optima Yellow Battery a lot heavier than the oem battery?
