Default Where does the hole lead to?

Hi Guys

I forgot a screwdriver on the rear roof tray and it rolled into the gap where the soft top arm comes from. So now there's this tool flying around in the side panel, making an annoying rolling sound

Please can someone tell me how to access that area and get it out?

Thanks a mil!

before you go tearing your car apart, try a snake tool with a magnet at the end. They are cheap and come in handy.

Are you talking about the drains to either side of the car, next to the "hinge" of the soft top (next to the doors)?

Those drains reduce in size to about the circumference of a dime, so unless your screwdriver is really small, it should still be at a reachable level. Try a magnet (as suggested above), or even just reaching in there with your hand.

are you taking about under the plastic tray? which can be accessed via the trunk if you take out your spare and such but thats a little tight... Im not too sure what area your talking about but if I were you id start by removing my seat plastics behind it if thats what your talking about.

thanks for the posts guys, yes JstnRyan that's exactly where I'm talking about. Didn't think it was so hollow though, sounds very deep, as though it's gone all the way down somewhere.

I removed the side panel but that just covers the metal structure, it's inside there.
