well clear coating would prob be pointless, your socket will just chip the clear and make it look terrible.. im only asking because i have anodized red tow hooks lol

same thing happened to me! I sold my red Rays with my RPF1s...ill be buying black rays now...

Try McGard spline-drives. They work amazing and so far for me they have held their color through a lot of miles and many trips to the car wash.

i think they are plated, those are not aluminium(aka not anodized)

Just don't go red since it's such a bright color. Try J's racing navy blue ones.

Don't know if this would work or not but you could try using a rag with some UV protectant with each car wash. Should at minimum prolong the original lug nut color.
