mike,
I have a Grand Prix white car (beige & black interior), and thinking about the white illumination S2000 text. What do you think, would it look good? What color illumination would you recommend?

I am guessing the base. Normally to illuminate a clear panel like this you shine leds into the edge of it. So if mounted in the base they likely are pointing straight into the edge of the clear plastic.

I flip my deflector down on track or at autox events since I have a gopro mount on the back of it so I can mount my gopro there. So one of these tall ones would stick out to a comical degree if I used them I do think the slightly shorter one pictured looks better.

I don't know anything about this product, their web site is terrible! Links to instructions, etc are just advertisements for the products. They say instructions will be provided with product, I don't want that. I want instruction, etc. before I buy.
What I have so far is NO technical data or information. Anecdotal information that the quality and service is good.

It's a simple LED strip across the bottom of the mount that illuminates the panel. It works well. The etched logo shows up very well. The edges are what emits the brightest light, but the entire panel is illuminated. Interestingly, when you look through the rearview mirror you can see the logo properly left-right, since it's see-through and the logo is backwards looking at it from the seats. At night with the mirror flipped, it doesn't interfere with the view - at least on a lower illumination. As I said, on the highest setting you might distract airplanes overhead.

For color, I have a Laguna Blue S2000, so I went with blue. It's not bad, but slightly kitschy. I think white is probably better and more subtle. @SeebeeCapt - I think white would look best. The instructions that came with it were clear and easy to follow. If you have wired anything 12v in your car, you won't have any issue with it. It uses the same mounting holes as the factory deflector, so you can swap back if you want. Just keep your hardware, etc.

I did notice the taller one did a good job controlling more wind at highway speeds, but funny enough, at lower speeds (25mph - 40mph) I think it was a bit more turbulent than the factory one (or the shorter one). The shorter one (that I have now) behaves exactly like the stock deflector.

I have noticed other brands of similar convertible cars have increased their wind restrictor size by quite a bit.

I guess the larger ones simply work better.

I bought one of these larger wind deflector/screens with the logo. Kept it on my car for 2 days. The size just did not let it stay in place. Flapped around while driving at high speeds and vibrated at slow speeds. Re-installed the stock deflector. Live/spend and learn.

The JS2K version replaces the stock acrylic piece, and still folds when you need it to. Mine is pretty stable at speed with minimal flapping except for very windy days.

Hi,
Does the wind deflector 'move'? ie lay down? How?

No, it's fixed in place. It doesn't collapse like the stock one.

Does the OEM stock deflector move? I’m afraid to force it!
