Default windnoise with GT wing

Hello everybody,

I have just installed my new wing on the car.
Is it normal to have wind / whistling noises with the GT wing?
is there something I can do about it?

thanks for the help!

with kind regards,
Tim

could be due to being too close to the spoon(style) top?

I believe, typical GT wing is set up near the roof height for best air flow?

maybe raise the wing a bit and see if that helps?

good luck...car is looking nice

Aesthetically, taller risers would look better, not sure about the whole wind noise thing. It just looks a lil weird with the wing so close to the hardtop.

But other than that your car looks good!

I think your wing just doesn't measure up! I agree with some of the others, you should try to get a taller wing or add risers for both function and form, with the spoon top! Your car is looking clean!

Hello everyone,

thanks for the reactions, although I don't get the LOLOLOL...

currently I am using the standard 195 raisers.
I have ordered the 295 raisers.

should the height be the solution for the wind noise?

with kind regards,
Tim

It looks like the stands weren't install far enough back on the trunk lid. when looking at all other spoon S2ks with this wing the back of the bracket sits on the real edge of the trunk

^^^ I was gonna say that it's mounted to far forward as well... like Davo307 mentioned... it should be mounted at the edge of the trunk...
