Cool idea, but under the lip is a no go for me. I cringe enough when the lip rubs, hearing that thing taking a beating would put me in the nuthouse.

They do offer a non-motorized hide a plate for $60.00

yeah but the motorized is soo much cooler don't you think?.. example: rig it to the handbrake or when the car is off, plate comes up, when you start the car or drive it, it hides... how bad a$$ is that!

We have one person in our group that has the manual version of this and one person with the motorized.

They look cool and function well until you bump one of those parking stops.
