Nice to see you over here, Andrew. I've been following your progress over on RL. Does this mean you're going to get it out on track before putting the turbo on?

Hey, yes the plan is to throw it on the track for a season and then look at gearboxes and turbos etc. Im hoping there is more data out there on the EFR turbos soon to help make a decision! Its been so long since I have raced, just keen to get back out there!

Sounds about right. If you calculate approximately 10-15% loss of power due to drivetrain and other factors such as RWD set up, rotating mass etc. Bone stock at 200whp you'd have 16% loss of power from an S2K's 240bhp.

That formula aside you can also quickly calculate like so....200whp x 1.2 = 240bhp. This more simplistic "formula" was told by a friend of mine who used to work at a tuning shop. RWD efficiency losses (drivetrain, transmission etc) are different from FWD or 4WD cars. I'm not sure how other S2000s would fair on a dyno in terms of losses but I'd like to believe that the most we are losing (from near stock or full stock) is around the 15% mark.

Hope this makes sense

I keep editing this but here's a link i found which supports the statement above http://www.mk5cortinaestate.co.uk/calculator4.php

Different dynos on different days with different operators will make different numbers even on the same car. Be careful not to get carried away with comparisons.
