your gains for you intake manifold and throttle body arent going to be tremendous maybe 10-20. you may possible see as high as 30 or 40 hp depending how crazy your bottom end and head is built if you went with the motor specs listed above.

I agree....this guy is a little confused... we are building s2000s not lsx motors... I got my car on the dyno for prelim tuning, made 270 whp and 192 tq at 8300 rpm. the dyno chart below shows that it has alot more uptop but we are worried at piston speeds with the 99mm stroke. we had a little drag on the exhaust cam still so we had to clearance the rockers. will be going back on the dyno in a few weeks. we are thinking it was robbing about 10-15 hp from us from 5800- redline. good luck with your build. if i had to do it all over again... i probably would just do FI but really the sound this car makes at WOT is just unbeatable.

Thanks man! My current S is a 2.4 FI so i'll be keeping this one somewhat modest for longevity's sake haha

So let me get this straight mike, your 900hp+ s2000 might be a bit.much for.the streets? So instead of unbeasting it your just going.to.build a slower one. Your the man!!!! I wish you would get the 2.7 cause I've been reading things about.it for weeks and it would be nice to have feedback from someone I could trust I'm almost tempted to make.the 10 minute ride to inline just to see it and find out $$$$.

There is definitely more up top. My 90x99 with a ported head and custom cams made peak power at 9300. My 89x99 with stock head and BC 3s peaked around 9100.
