Default k24 crank

Hi Guys !

I have a JDMs2k and i 'm willing to do the stroker kit by gary castillo , Gary states that you should use the OEM rods and pistons of an H22A engine , I have a ordered a brand new K24 crankshaft and a set of 900hp EAGLE CONNECTING RODS ! Should i have any problems in installing the eagle rods instead of the OEM ??

Thanks in advance !

Here's some more info:

You wont have any problems installing the Eagle rods as long as you either had Eagle make them with the big end reduced by 2mm on each side, mill the rods down by 2mm on each side after you receive them, or mill the crankshaft's rod journals 4mm wider.

i dont know this seems like a bad idea to me. shaving off metal from something that is suppose to be perfectly balanced. i just dont see it lasting long

You're really only shaving off an amount of material less than half the width of your pinky nail. 2mm on each side of the rod is pretty small. In terms of it being balanced, as long as you have a good machinist do the work the rods will come out square and true and balanced. My rods were cut on a lathe but they can also be cut on a vertical mill. This is still a good amount of work but it sounds like the rods are being altered a lot more than they are.

yep, i agree with kial. doing a build like this, you're going to want to have EVERYTHING balanced anyway, so your motor doesn't vibrate apart. as long as you aren't subjecting this build to boost, it should be fine in terms of reliability. I bought everything new and still had all my stuff balanced and blueprinted.
