17% increase in torque at the 2nd gear engagement RPM contributes to the slippage too.

^^^ You still running that god awful CDV ...or is your clutch just getting worn out?

I don't have a CDV. The reason for the clutch slippage is a combination of grippy concrete, sticky tires, heavy OEM flywheel, and a weak OEM pressure plate.
That would do it!

It sounds a lot like an AEM style CAI, which I find a bit too loud. Thankfully it isn't as annoying as an FIPK when VTEC engages at 3600 RPMs.

I still hope to offer an intake soon, but I need to keep my exhaust project rolling.

My gernpipe sounds a lot better since I took out the K&N FIPK and installed the stock intake back on. How hard would it be to have a resonator in the intake pipe? Would that affect flow by a lot? I heard of talk about that before but never seen it done.

I suspect everyone with a Gern-Pipe and FIPK will eventually ditch the FIPK.

A resonator would not impact flow, but it would introduce a new resonant dip and hump. The OEM intake box actually IS a resonator (with 2 Helmholtz chambers).

It's actually much easier to quiet down an intake than it is an exhaust.

Nice gains buddy, the graphs speak for themselves. Love your work.
Thanks for sharing your findings.
Regarding appearance. .
I'd like to see it black to match the grill.
Jus my 2 cents.
