Default PLM Header Issues

I recently installed a PLM header into my 2004 S2000. The installation went well and the header is bolted to the engine tightly. At the moment, I am running open headers because I was also trying to install my Invidia 70mm TP as well, which would run to my stock exhaust. However, the PLM headers and Invidia TP came up short to the exhaust so I took the TP and exhaust off as a temporary fix.

When I run my car at anything other than idle, I can hear that the part of the headers where it converges into two pipes is vibrating against my transmission case. During installation, I saw that there was only about a 1/4 inch of space between the two.

Is this normal for those of you who have PLM headers? I am thinking that once i put on the rest of my exhaust system, it should stabilize the headers a bit more, which may stop them from vibrating against the tranny case. What do you guys think?

I think you should complete the exhaust system and then report back.

Agreed. Running an open header means it will have a much bigger potential to vibrate and bang into something. I can't remember how much clearance I had but haven't had this problem with my own PLM header.

I don't have any fitment issues with my PLM header. Only problem I had was the collector, which I fixed with another donut gasket.

Ummmm, open header, I imagine you would have some vibration problems. Also, how is your hearing?
