race exhaust with out muffler
hi guys! im planing on doing a 2.5inch piping up to resonator then steped to 3inch piping after resonator up to the bumper. with out any muffler aka JDM circuit car exhaust. then the exhaust will have a megaphone style on the end... what do you guys think of it? will i gain power ir lose power??? my friend is a good exhaust fabricator it will be a full stainless piping up to the megaphone..... he say it gonna be loud but it will sound good and make power. cause of the freeflow. my engine is a f20c ap1.

spoon throtle body
j's racing header

trust/greddy oilcooler
berk testpipe

^ yeah no use for a resonator if you are already going balls out with no muffler.
things to consider is "freeflow" and staying n/a its important to keep a balance between flow and back pressure is necessary otherwise you will lose power on the low end/throttle response though you probably will gain power up top.
and if you dd your car then god bless you, invest in some ear plugs

why woudl you do that? Y not just a 2.75 straight pipe from the header all the way back with no resonator and muffler. this should gain you the most power. I wouldnt even have it come out to the bumper I would make a turndown for it right around the diff. Warning this will be loud as #### and it will not sound too good unlike ur friend said.

my friend said the resonator will be the one to control the tone of the sound. so it wont sound that loud it will sound deep. plus it wiill control the flow of the exhaust so i wont lose low end power thats y its going to be a stepped exhaust 2.5 testpipe and resonator then ater it will step up to 3 inch with a megaphone style end. to build good backpressure.
we dont have 2.75mm diameter of stainless piping available here in the philippines only 2.5 and 3 inch
the goog thing here is that we dont have restrictions on exhaust on cars. some people here even drive around with an side exit exhaust on their cars. eheheh
