is this needed with skunk stage 2 cams? they have more lift and duration.

I wonder if this is why people are having issues with them.

The clearance problems are on the rockers for the smaller exhaust lobes. The exhaust rocker to cam relationship is different to the inlets so the smaller lobes come really close the the rocker body, even with standard cams. The inlets on the other hand have miles of room.

If the skunk 2 primary lobes are same or larger than the Toda Spec C's they will probably have the same problem.

No, it's not stated anywhere. I have these Skunk2 cams. But I used only the exhaust cam. When ordering the cams over 2 years ago they sended me 2 exhaust cams instead of an intake and exhaust camshaft. One packing was labeled "Intake" but there was a second exhaust cam in it. I figured it out before installing them. I didn't send it back because it's to complicated for me.

The exhaust cam is working without any issues. No modifcations instead of upgrading valve springs and retainers. I installed the exhaust cam a few weeks ago on the intake side - just for measuring tests. Had no clashes.

Yes, but I'm trying to put it on the intake side I'm still researching and measuring. That's why I did these CATIA comparisions some time ago.
The lobes from the exhaust cams are a bit smaller. Would be better for the piston to valve clearance...

S2.RR: nice, I will contact you by PM.

Adrian,

Forgot you may have these locally. I did a lot of detailed measurements on Friday night before cutting new valve reliefs in my pistons ( F24 with H22 high dome pistons). I've got enough detail about the cams for now, but will remember you for the future Toda queries.
