According to here can cost easily cost over 1k$ and more parts are required than originally thought. Something to consider for 00-05 s2000 owners.

"NOTE: For 2000-2005 S2000 Fitment. Requires a PRB ECU from an 02-04 RSX. If you are supplying the ECU, you must obtain this unit as your OEM S2000 ECU cannot be used. In addition to adding K-Pro, the RSX ECU is adapted for the S2000. An adapter harness is included. Your engine crank and cam sensors must be changed to equivalent 2006-2007 parts (must be purchased separately) - Parts List and Install Overview Here."
Parts List and Instructions for K-Pro Installation in 2000-2005 Honda S2000
The following items must be replaced before the S2000 K-Pro can be used. These parts are not supplied by Hondata and should be purchased from a Honda dealer.
-Crank sensor 37500-PZX-003
-Crank wheel 13622-PCX-013
-TDC sensor 37510-PZX-003
-TDC wheel 14112-PCX-003
-Valve cover 12310-PCX-020
-Drain plug washer (for PCV valve) 94109-14000
-PCV valve 17130-PCX-003
-IAT sensor 37880-P05-A00 (not required, but stock IAT will read about 30 degrees hotter). Swapping the parts is relatively straight forward. Refer to the Helm manual for more information, but in brief you will need to:
-Remove the accessory belt.
-Remove the water pump pulley.
-Remove the crank pulley.
-Remove the front timing cover.
-Remove and replace the crank timing wheel.
-Remove and replace the crank sensor in the timing cover, and reinstall the timing cover.
-Remove old wiring to crank sensor.
-Install wiring harness from crank sensor to ECU.
-Reinstall water pump pulley and accessory belt.
-Remove the valve cover.
-Remove and replace the TDC sensor wheel (exhaust cam).
-Install the new TDC sensor and PCV valve in the new timing cover, and install the new valve cover.
-Remove S2000 ECU. Install the wiring harness through the firewall underneath the clutch master cylinder.
If you have cut the wiring rubber boot, seal it with silicone sealer.
-Install the ECU.

Also back to previous post question, anyone capable of passing smog ? Technically yes it can due to ecu plug in smog but no tech would pass it w/o a huge chunk of cash in hand.
I've saved up enough and considering since at 178k and coming up on the 200k valve adjustment mark might as well dive in and do this too. Already replaced my coilpacks 3k ago, looks like the 170-200k miles range is where I've noticed on most cars will start having something go wrong here n there.

I suspect this has been addressed quite a bit, but it's one of those things where there is almost too much info.
1) I have a 07 S2000, the only mod I have is the airbox mod.
2) I'm going to buy a KTuner V2 Touch and the Berk 63mm test pipe. There is no emission testing in my area. These will be my only engine mods.
3) My understanding is that with the "canned tune" that is prepackaged inside the KTuner (the one that says something like "tune with HFC/test pipe", I'll come out with a nice 20lbs midrange torque bump.
4) My question is: how much additional power will I get from a custom "e-tune" (the ones done without a dyno and sent by Gerby or AP1Chief) over KTuners "canned tune" in step 3.
