Since this mid pipe has a built in high flow cat, what happens IF the internals break loose like so often happens with the oem cat.(I'm not sure if its even a possibility with how high flow cats are designed or not, just a thought because I wouldnt think its possible to replace a broken piece on the internals of the mid pipe)
Great question, we can warranty for a year and simply weld in a new cat. After that, we can do the same for a low, pass through costs.

That being said, the Cat will be far away from the header, towards the axle and have much lower temps, thus their lifetime is MUCH longer.

Consider a Cat, like a wear item, your milage may vary depending on use. That being said, Gernby sold 50 cats 1-2 years ago and none have needed replacement. We are using the exact say cat he did.

Hope that helps...
That's interesting. I thought that manufacturers placed the CAT as close to the engine as possible to help them warm up fast, since they only work properly when hot. I guess that low emissions on short journeys and maximising power (and the CAT's life) are conflicting objectives.

Well I think I speak for a majority of this community when I say that I'm not too worried about how fast my high flow cat warms up so it filters the exhaust effectively.. lol

I actually did hear about a cat failure in one of my systems recently, but it was an FI setup. I don't know how many miles or driving cycles occurred before the failure.

if you can find out more on this info I would be interested. I plan to buy one for sure on my n/a car, was contemplating it for my supercharged track car as well.

We are in the home stretch.. We sent our Prototype back to make 2 fitment changes and to make another in an STR version. If both turn out good, then we go to group buy (2 weeks) and then production (4-5 weeks). We hope to get the new prototypes back at the end of the month.

I don't have a cost yet, but it will not be more, could be less as it has less cones and no internal baffling. The STR will not be wide enough to have internal baffling and clear the exhaust tunnel.

STR is only meant to comply with STR rules, it will sacrifice sound to make it work.

Are there any side profile photos of these rotors? The website only shows the flat face and not the veins. Also what is the vein count?
