89 bore
99mm k24 crank
13:1cr
Ported Head with competition valvejob
Custom intake manifold with 75 or 90mm TB. ITBs will work as well
Custom Header
Inline pro Fuel rail with a larger pump and fpr to increase static psi
3-3.5 inch exhaust
s2 tuner stage 3 cams, crower stage 3 or todas
Tuned on e85 with 750-1000cc injectors
Now thats a street setup that should put you somewhere in the 300
Increase CR and bore. As well as go with a race port and valve job if you wanted to solidify the power increase.
Even do a custom cam if you wanted.
The downfall to what seems to be the magical 300 number for s2k enthusiasts is the cams but there are a few being released soon that should help.
InlinePro is a great way to start for it all. It will definitely cost some coin, but you can definitely do it under 10k.

going NA with itb's, cams, and every na mod possible may get you at 300 whp but not likely. i'd say do nitrous, that'd get you easily at 300 whp but only at a bottle at a time. just be a weekend warrior. pm d1sclaimer, he know's his nitrous shiznit. being fixed on the 300 whp number is one thing but getting a 4.77 differential will provide just as much fun. it'll cost about a grand provided you do the install put the fun factor is enormous. i'll break it down...
na = extremely costly compared to fi
sc = costly but cheaper than turbo
turbo = best performance but the most expensive
nitrous = best horsepower per dollar but only temporary
gears = not horsepower but horsepowerlike and it's cheap
i vote for GEARS!

lets race 55-155. I'll take out my wastegate spring. You can run on the 4.77 gears and we'll see who gets to 155 first.
