You guys are being jerks. Just answer the question or don't make a post. In his defense... I think he just trying to get better drivability out of the car. I don't blame him.

I'm being a jerk, yup it happens.

The point of my first post before the op decided to be a jerk back is you would move the vtec for 1 reason, get more average hp. Its not as simple as just "lowering it" and expecting to find some magic hp. maybe a couple hundred rpms sure. but that isn't going to make the need to shift or not that different. There is a reason we have 2 cam profiles and not 5L of displacement.

you're so missing the point.

you are seeking less power? what exactly does a "wider vtec window" gain you?
okay i will waste my time in my thread to answer your question

i need wider VTEC window for at least 2 reasons

1. i drive lots of corners that's as low as 48km/h (30mph), it's right at the point it's not worth it to use 1st gear at all, i do have a little hard time especially if they are uphill corners

2. i drive lots of corners that before next corner i stuck in 2nd gear limiter, it's about the speed of 95~105 km/h (u do ur own conversion this time)

So if i have 8500 limiter, i have choices to shift up at 8000 or just drag it to 8000~8500 if it's not worth it to shift up

for AP1 the gear ratio is a lot better for what i'm doing but i'm dreaming if i can have both that and AP2 torque

also i would love to achieve that without touching the final gear

and sorry if i made my sentence too short & simple that you weren't smart enough to understand my situation & questions, but smart enough to pick something out argue than try to answer it

i donno why you see the equation, no peak power gain = less power? but not gonna argue with that

is my English that bad or you are just too bored?

but honestly thanks for your argument, there r more pp discussing my thread now!

AP2 power band

Amuse ECU for AP2

i'm not asking how it works, i'm only taking pp's suggestion towards what i want to achieve

that's the point of my 1st post

For an admin, you're starting a bunch of un-needed drama. Stop posting if you're not helping him out. Im sure that would be appreciated.
