Chi's AP2 TTC reclass was 214whp / 2755lbs

 

Just got my AP2 reclassed:

TTC: 217hp @ 2795 lbs
TTC*: 217hp @ 2715 lbs

Ratio's pretty in line with you, Pat. I'm pretty comfortable with my current setup with front splitter but would be fun to run mods virtually identical to you in TTC* trim minus suspension. We'll see after some testing.

 

I do think its interesting that Dysen's TTC* reclass put him at 12.0 with the final class being TTB and even my reclass to base class TTB is 12.43. At the TTB level does the CR really have that much of a build advantage over the standard AP2? Will be interesting when I get the car back together to see if I can catch him!

TTC* 216whp @ 2700 == 12.5:1

What all "power mods" do you have, and did you just take your car to a Dyno?

 

I installed ITBs. The car previously had 70mm exhaust + TP

I had the dyno sheet from tuning the ITBs

Hoosier A7 is the fastest DOT tires for sure. However, Hankook C71 is not far behind. I tested both of them last year and I can definitely confirm they are not that much apart. I was seriously considered running C71 at the runoffs last year.

 

Andrie, within the NASA TT crowd, specifically TTF-TTB, the A7s are worth too many points to run. It looks like the R7 is one of the best tires to run for contingencies. But how would you rate the C71 vs R7?

 

Dysen, I ran the Hankooks most of last year (C51 & C71). I think the Hoosiers are still a faster tire, but the Hankook's do last longer (and they are cheaper). I don't think the Hankooks are that far behind Hoosiers, but given equal drivers the Hoosier will win. They have similar characteristics has the Hoosiers so you could use those as warm-up tires and then your Hoosiers for your money run without having to re-adapt.
