2019 scca classing change?
there is a propsal to have the s2000s drop to C street according to the SCCA. The last national event had an adequate number of s2000, all quite far from the leaders in B street. in fact, the s2000 was several (combined) seconds from the lead C stock miatas.
you would think it'd be easier to put the c5 base models back in A stock instead of having two classes with competitive Corvettes
I have yet to look into previous yours results as this is the first year I'm going to be racing competitively beyond my local Club
this would be the opportune time to write to the SCCA.
thoughts? opinions?

I wonder if, on a large course, the s2k can be faster then the ND in stock class... If yes, I think that is the only logical argument against moving the S2k down to CS at this point. In all fairness, I think the Z cars should also move back down to CS. I don't think that C5 Vettes are the only car significantly above S2k's anymore. The Cayman S and 1M definitely are. I'm not sure if there are enough data points on the Focus RS and Golf R yet. My gut is that the Focus RS has the potential to be quicker on the majority of courses. I'd think that the only place an S2k may have an advantage over one would be high speed sweepers and slaloms.

the the Z cars are restricted by tire size, other than the one anomaly recently winning a national event.
the thing is if the s2000 moves, what about the TRD FRS? And the MSR Miata? Doesn't make sense.
