Default 255 Square Setup Stock 01

I'm thinking about running a 255 square setup on my 2001 AP1 with stock suspension except for a comptech front bar in STR this year. Is front fender rolling required for these tires?

Depends on the tire, wheel and offset

Also "fit" is going to be a relative term

17x9 +58 is going to be a minimum to fit

17x8.5 +54 is the minimum for an 8.5

If you are going for the popular 17x9 +45 you are going to need a roll and pull

I don't believe camber being a tool to fit tires. Camber should be an independent available tuning option per track/condition; not a requirement

Also regarding camber are you pushing the track out via an offset lower ball joint (ie Megan, hard race, Js and spoon) or are you pulling the upper a arm in a la SBC? Leaning the tire in with the SBC will give you fenders more clearance and expense of possible rubbing on the control arm (again depending on wheel offset)

look at tirerack. iirc you cant roll fenders fenders in str ... 17x9 +60(or higher) with a 255/40 will fit without any fender work. there is a few options out there for that sizing cheapest being the tr motorsports wheels

Would bending the fender tab be required?

Fender rolling is STR legal. You can't pull or modify the outside profile of the fender.

I ran 245s on the OEM front wheels and springs without fender mods. I went to 17x9 +63 and 245s on Eibach springs and was getting into the tabs pretty hard. When I went to the Ohlins DFV shocks, I rolled the fronts.

What ride height do you guys use for front and rear of car? I plan on buying the Enkei PF01 17x9 +60 mm offset wheels with 255 tires. I have front camber joints to increase negative camber. I would like to only do the fender tab roll to allow clearance.

I have just been trying to research the old archives but I get conflicting data on whether you need to roll your fenders or not for ride heights of 12.75 inch or higher.

I want to get the information first before I dial in the ride height of my Ohlins DFV shocks.

I can't remember my ride height off hand, but I want to say 13.25? I have offset ball joints in the front, running -2.75 camber. I had to roll the fenders.

Roll the fender tabs in the front at least. You will rob the inner wheels on the upper control arm with 17x9 +60. and also the outer edge fender liner.
