adjusting shocks
All right, I have Koni adjustable shocks and stock springs and the rubber I have on are the Potenza RE-O1Rs. I do a lot of AutoX and also some HPDs on roadcourses. Does anyone know how firm/soft the shocks should be for those two activities? I assume fronts and rears wouldn't be adjusted the same amount. Thanks
I have the fronts wound all the way out and the rears at 1 1/4 turn stiff. I think there is a balance between the settings and your driving style. rear should be softer than the front generally speaking though.
Turn them to "fast"
Really, there are too many variables, but if that's the only thing you have to adjust besides tire pressure, all you have to remember is the basics. I prefer the car to be pretty stiff, so I start with mine full stiff and then soften the end that loses grip first until the car is more neutral.
If you're talking about the OTS yellows (not revalved), and driving on stock springs and relatively smooth surfaces, this should give you a place to start.
