Default Swapping shocks

Rear shock leaking. Is there anything I should look out for when swapping both rears on a 57 plate car with shocks from a pre-facelift?

A pre-facelift will have different spring rates - you will notice quite a difference, also the age and mileage of a set from a pre-facelift might be a false economy. Could be worth considering Koni's or something similar.

Not worth doing then? Just swapping the rear dampers. Keeping my springs. Mine have 120K the donor has 70K

Good shout on the Koni's. Got me thinking and made sense to replace the full geriatric quartet. Went for the Yellows and at around 500 quid make a great alternative to the large wedge for OEM. I've got them set on one 180* turn from full soft until they settle, but as they feel great I might keep this setting or just a bawhair stiffer.
