alignment difficulties
Here is a thought that just ocurred to me...
I've dropped my tranny a number of times and part of that procedure involves lowering the engine subframe. The lower front a-arms are attached to this frame. One of the things i've noticed is that the frame has some wiggle room as its raised and tightened up against the rest of the car. With the upper a-arms attached to the body any misalignment of the subframe from its previous position would amount to a change in the alignment. Move it far enough to one side and you can increase the camber acheivable on the side and reduce the camber achievable on the other.
Anyway, just a thought. Had any tranny work done lately?
