Alignments are important
Jeff J. and I have been struggling with my car all year long. We thought it was the Penskes, tires, bad driving, etc. The car just seemed twitchy at all times. It was fun in the tight stuff but a little stressful in quick transitions at speed.
Today I set up a string box around the car to add a bit more rear toe-in. That's when I discovered that we actually had 1/4" of toe-OUT in the rear! F#$%!
Long story short, the shop that did the original alignment is going to fix it tomorrow morning, and I'm going to verify with a tape measure before I leave. Shame on them for getting it wrong, shame on me for not checking earlier.
No wonder half the people that drove it during fun runs spun it! Duh, check your alignments! We'll be going to Nationals with a whole new car, it will be for the better though.

Sounds like Ian Stewart's alignment story...
I'm more than a little disappointed in myself for not figuring this out sooner. Oh well, we'll be spending some quality time on the test 'n' tune track at Nationals!
I always thought Ian did that on purpose... lol!
I used to run 1/4" of toe out when i was autocrossing on streeties, but now with the slicks its a bit less than that. I agree though that i wouldn't want to do a really high speed sweeper with the setup (autocross speeds are manageable).

We've been really battling with oversteer upon throttle tip in and general twitchy handling, streets or not. Of course many of our courses have us cornering at 60 mph and 55mph slaloms with an easy offset and tight spacing. Maybe your courses are tighter? The car felt ok on the tight SoloPro day one course as it was pretty tight.
