Default AP1 front hub pivot angle question

hi to all,

I've a got a track car specialist rebuilding the suspension of my track-day oriented '00 AP1
(after 10 years of track days in France thought that full bushing change to Spoon + corner weighting might be useful !)

anyway, there's a difference between the front hub pivot angle (think that's how you say it: angle of hub pivot from vertical)
8° on one side and 12° on the other
before buying a new hub, am trying to find out what is the stock angle to new which side has a problem

been going through the FAQs and Google and found nothing, can anybody help please ?

Are you referring to caster? If so it could be a lower control arm as well.

Looking more into it, hub angle probably not the right term, more likely kingpin angle

I think the term you are looking for is caster. I think caster spec is 7 degrees. It's pretty difficult to have caster issues due to the knuckle. I've seen the lower control arm be the cause for low caster angle or the sub frame could have shifted. What is the specific issue you're trying to fix?

well Bill

I'm sure it's not castor (chase in French)
the "angle de pivot" is i think translated as kingpin angle and is the angle of the axis of steering rotation from the vertical when looking forwards
(hope that's clear)
and this is not normally part of suspension set up variables

sorry havn't been able to find a drawing of the front suspension looking from the front of the car

the angle I'm talking about (double checked with the specialist wotking on the car)

is the angle between the vertical plane and the front wheel pivot axis looking from the front of the car

clearer ?

Camber?
If it's camber that's the issue then measure the distance between the upper and lower ball joints. The upper ball joint knuckle attachment point tends to be bent inward and the easy way to check I measure between them.
