Cliff's notes: COTA rents track time, cashes deposits. Decides to cancel events with less than a month to go.

That's such utter bullshit. I'm sure you and many other people took a fair amount of time off of work and booked hotel rooms to go to the track day. Now what? You probably lose some money on the hotel room and might be stuck using the vacation time up for nothing.

Any idea if they're moving to a more exclusive driver school relationship (at higher cash flows) or just strugling with first year organizational challenges? Could open liability issues or residual investor conflicts be causing the cancellations? Their references to "amateur drivers" and "...limit the number of vehicles we have on track at any given time..." lead me to think maybe they're not ready to take on the risks of "over the counter amateurs" getting hurt on track. Is SCCA club racing affected?
I hope it's a temporary limitation, I love the look of that track!

They keep making a designation about "amateur" race groups and NASA isn't invited. So I wouldn't be so sure how welcome regional SCCA would be. They're planning on a "major" there for SCCA (new "super" national format) so maybe that saved it.
But I'd rather drive the turbo S2000 there in DE than an NA Civic W2W.
