I'm planning on putting AutoX tires on my stock wheels with worn out tires that I'm not using. Are they really worth it? or should I just put a new set of S02's on. I've heard they change the characteristics of the car a lot because the S2000 is sensitive to tires. What about just putting AutoX tires on the rear and keep the stock front tires to try to keep the car from oversteering as much? Also, any recommendations on AutoX tires?

AutoX tires will make you about 2 seconds faster on a 40 second course. No other car improvement that is allowed in stock classes will give you a 2 second improvement.

Don't forget the effects of heat cycling your race tires needlessly. Most race tires are only going to last for a given number of heat cycles, so if you run them on the road, they're going to be crap when you get them on the track (this is more true of some tires than others).

Oh, yeah, I'm not saying they won't last 6k, but they'll harden up and be less grippy than they were new, that's all.
