Here are the rules :Street Class Rules 2015 Solo

Section 13.6 is on Brakes and there is no mention of swapping rotors which means it is a no no. Different rotors from OEM would put you in STR.

I'm running an 08' using 225/255 RS3V2s with stock bars right now. I'm planning to get the Karcepts front bar soon though. No rush...

Over the past 2 days I have been lucky enough to run with an s2000 and their drivers that has placed at nationals in B street class of 17 cars with 5 s2000s haha. That car was running 245s square. It is fully prepped with a front bar of some kind, aftermarket single exhaust, really expensive shocks and really good drivers.

My nemisis in an 06' was running 235/255 RE71Rs and beat me but he was dialing in camber and bar stiffness.

In the past I have beaten a guy who bought a fully prepped car running 255 square with front bar and everything. Assuming equal drivers a front bar will benefit from wider front tires it seems for most.

I didn't go with the wide fronts because I was not used to the car anyway and I thought that the wider front tires would throw the balance way toward oversteer. Someone else running stock bars had no problem with the wider tires.

I use Track Addict Sorry . I know some people do use Harry's Lap timer too.

I hate to say it but your eibach bar isn't really doing much. I know your on a budget, but my 08 stock bar is 354lbs/in (yours stock was 300lb/in) and I have twitchiness problems due to inside rear lift. The lowest setting on the Karcepts bar is 732lb/in Karcepts bar info. When you can afford it get a better bar. In the meantime scoop up some good tires. They will take you a long way.

According to this post - https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/822...y-bars-review/ - stock AP2 is around 260 lb/in and the Eibach is 416 lb/in on the stiffer setting. Still the Karcepts will be better but the eibach still should help a lot.

The 08-09 AP2s had a different front bar it was 27.2mm not 26.5 so its a little stiffer. You are correct for the OP's OEM bar.

I just started building my car for BS this year, and I started with the Gendron. It's a great bar functionally, but in the long run, I definitely want the Karcepts for ease of adjustment. I would definitely tinker with my bar more if I had the Karcepts, it's just a lot easier to change settings. Pretty sure it's decently lighter too.

I think I'm just going to try 225/255 Re71r and just run the Eibach for now. Also, I just ordered Cryo treated full face Centrics and the Hawk Street Race pads. I figure I can run this setup for a year, get a good feel for the car, and then look into some higher quality parts later on.

S2000 never had a stock bar softer than 300 lb/in.

Sounds like a plan...is that the new DTC-30-based Street/Race pad? It is supposed to be derived from the DTC-30, which is often used as a rear pad with a DTC-60 or DTC-70 in front in race cars (e.g. Spec Miata). The few reviews indicate noise and dust are at HP+ levels. Some reviews: http://fiestast.net/threads/hawk-str...d-review.2262/, http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...1&postcount=26,

Did you consider the Ferodo DS2500 or CL RC5+ sintered pads?

Off topic, but anyone know what the Sanner bar is for rate. It's funny that no one mentions shocks anymore.
