Same here but mine are still a bit funky, I lost my shock tuner and now I'm on my own

It'll be interesting starting from scratch, somewhere along the road I decided to go with 5wt shock oil from the reading I've done instead of continuing to use what was already in the there.

I would definitely consider him if I hadn't invested in a shim kit, nitrogen tank, oil, regulator and many other items.
At this point it's a one way street and I hope I don't hit a dead end

Guy wasn't here for very long.

I've started on my Bilstein coilover project. Basically, I'm splitting the build into two phases -

Phase one:
- Start with PSS coilovers
- Cut spring perches for 2.5" ID springs
- Shorten bodies by ~1" to allow for more ride height tuning
- Add Penske 8100 reservoirs
- Revalve with initial damping requests
- Design/build spherical top hats

Phase two:
- Adapt needle/seat adjustable shafts to work with the Bilsteins
- Swap Penske 8100s for reservoirs with better low-speed control
- Revalve as necessary

I've been working with an east-coast shock builder that is full of ideas for me to try with these dampers. We've discussed everything from simple revalves to fitting Ohlins LMJ adjustable shafts into the Bilstein bodies, since they both use 46mm pistons. The PSSs are currently in his hands, so we'll see how they perform after I receive them and get a chance to test them out.

The top hats are coming along nicely. Hopefully I can finish the machine work this weekend.

Partial machine work done and a few parts -

Very nice work , I've been thinking about doing this. Was it easy for a machine shop to do this or did you do it?

Oh? Did you find upper spring perches?

I should know more soon. The upper seals are just held in by a cir-clip, so it should just be a matter of cutting the body down and cutting a new clip groove. I was tempted to do the work myself, but I figured I'd just have the damper shop do it while they're revalving and adding the reservoir ports.

I didn't find any top hat designs that I thought would work well with the Bilsteins, so I designed my own and am about 60% done machining/fabricating the parts.

Here's a cutaway of my design -

I was wondering what the small bearing was for. Very nice!!

Oh!
The only problem I see is the bearing isn't really captured so the spring perch can move side to side and wear on other items. If you used a different type of bearing then I think that section would be worry free. The other bearings will be thicker but it looks like you'll still have plenty of room to run the stock bumpstop and still have enough bump and possibly a tad too much. It'll also give you a tiny bit more clearance on the top of the spring perch to the top hat but probably not needed assuming the spring stays square over time.
