That course looks like the longest slalom Ive ever seen. Kinda boring <img src=/frown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />' />
here is the course at centralia huron airpark, in ontario. WOSCA is the organizing group, under casc-or. 1.8 kms long. i designed this one with input from jvf1.darcyhttp://youtu.be/MQ0iiN2nnaM
On that course, I feel like eating a cone on one of those high speed corners may be faster than trying to avoid it

Where are your auto crosses though? I definitely have to go to one of these

Blowing out a differential is certainly not a happy thing, and given that you were able to find another for only $300.00 is great.

Another option would be to take a look at perhaps upgrading to a stronger differential more suited to the stresses of autocross and hard core driving.

OS Giken makes just such a differential. It is quite a bit more expensive, but offers up a level of performance that I think more than justifies the expense.

Do we have anyone here running the OS Giken Differential in their car?

Let me know if I can help.

We are blowing up ring and pinions. I dont believe changing the lsd unit out for an OS Giken makes a differance. Two totally different things IMO
How can you help Erik Johnson at The Race Line?
Haha! He thinks you're a noob! "I have this magic performance tire called "an R-compound" that offers better grip than an all season. ZOMG!"

I will also send him a PM telling him that non-sponsors aren't allowed spammage.

did your diff happen to sound like this before it blew? This was the last session I ran before the noise got louder, turns out my diff was almost done. I was lucky enough it didn't blow out on me during that session.

I'm surprised you pushed through that! I would have pulled off the track.

No way! You can hear that it sounds decent in the start of the run.

It did make a very subtle noise at very low speeds though.

I honestly don't know why I kept going, but that lap in the video was actually the last hot lap I had (ran maybe 4 laps that session) and then pulled off.

Yup. Very common failure mode. BSP guys are going to be hating life with this issue. SSM guys, a different rear end is a must IMHO if any ProSolo on the horizon.
