Default Brake help please.

Upgraded to some Brembos and KW V3 suspension (wow...what a difference on the suspension...coming off of Eibach springs on stock). I have a major brake problem though.

I may not have bled them enough yet, but I ran a large bottle through with a vac bleeder and it still seemed like I was getting some air. I went and bought a couple more bottles and plan on running them through later this evening. The brakes are still a bit mushy, and my biggest problem seems to be that my VSA / ABS ennunciators are on now. I turned the key on with one of the lines off, so I am probably to blame for this (I hope...and it's not something more serious). I went to the local Advance, and their code reader shows no codes, and even after resetting for the helluvit, those ennunciators are still on. Perhaps those are non-end user modifiable. I have no clue. Any help / input on the mushy brakes and the error lights would be much appreciated. I'm trying to make it to the Talladega track day on Friday and this is really throwing a wrench into things (no pun intended).

Also any input on proper brake bedding procedure would be appreciated. I'm new to the 4-wheel track thing.

try disconnecting battery for like 15 minutes. Other than that you may need to use an ABS cycler.

Thanks Dan. I sent you a couple of PM's. Please read.

Also, if you can clue me in as to what an ABS recycler is I'd much appreciate it. Hahah.

I'll go do the battery thing and report back.

Vac bleeders suck, but not well enough. I use a pressure bleeder. It blows, but after a little bit of practice I've never had any issues with problems getting a complete (and quick) bleed or flush.

Ignore the "ABS cycler" stuff. No need in the S2000.

Pretty cool. I've always seen vac setups. I googled pressure bleeder and that looks alot easier (and less messy!). Any of the local auto parts places usually have those things?

The battery disconnect thing didn't work for me. I left it off for a couple of hours or so. Could shittily bled brakes lead to this, or am I in for a trip to the dealer.

Many of the ABS codes will reset when you drive the car around the block, assuming that all the sensors are hooked up and such.

I really think you need the service manual (www.helminc.com). This should be answering most of your questions.

I do have the Helm manual. I will look at that portion in the morning. Thanks.
