I have no idea what top speed was down the front. I do know that if I ever had a clean shot through Hog Pen, I was in sixth before the start/finish line. I have 4.57's. We got to the point where we were entering that section at 80mph(on my speedo). I have a 2.5L.

140 seems like a lot. I never got into 6th with my 4.10's, but I was 8,000+ in 5th on the front and back straights. I was going 125 +/- before the braking zones. Skip, you must've been hitting ~135 before the braking zones

that back straight is long and downhill isn't it? I thought there was a higher top speed back there than on the front straight? I know i was hitting 6th great with 4.77's on the front but i had stock gears when we did the full course....and i drove like a sissy...

a bit scary coming off that back straight at 140-150mph to whatever the top of that hill is called..... at least at summit you can drive off into gravel and live...

what happened to JFO? I heard he got it in the rear? and I heard his car got hit from behind...... seriously though..... I guess he was taking the car to Helms to get the turbo installed for next race? He had some body damage though this weekend didn't he.
Turbo Hit from behind? The LHV Crew will be busy before next race!

I doubt I was that fast. I was still able to go just inside of marker #4 to start my braking on the front stretch. We also adjusted my wing's angle... H-U-G-E difference. I couldn't believe it.

Since I don't hit 140, it's not scary at all. I leaving Oak Tree in 3rd, 4th at pit entrance. I may try 2nd next time and see if I get into 4th any faster. I'm guessing upper 120's and braking just before the " <--", grabbing 4th and accelerating to the hairpin.
