Default Bumper Tab Relocation

So I have looked around for some pics of the rear tab relocation and found 1 or 2 but would like to clarify. I only need to relocate the upper tab attachment point by moving it as far rearward as possible. This means cutting a little of the plastic on the bumper to re-drill/attach the two, grinding the old tab location where it protrudes and re-painting as needed. Am I correct? Do I need to remove the black liner from the oem upper fender/rear panel to cut down anything below that or am I good? 17x9 +63 255 stock ride ht max camber on stock adjusters?
Thanks
Move to uth if that is where I should have posted

With +63 I don't believe you have to relocate your tab. I know a guy with +63 949 wheels, and 255's. He didn't even need to roll his fenders, and he isn't rubbing. However, if you do need to relocate your tab, you just remove the bolt bend up the metal(or grind it off as you suggest), cut away the plastic and put a screw / bolt in a few inches back (i used a self tapping sheet metal screw). It will make sense once you take of your wheel and have a look.

I have the Volk CE28Ns in 17x9 +63 running 255's in the rear, lowered by 1" and zero issues with no tab relocation. There u go, have fun

Great to know I should be able to just go! I have my wheels off and could see the offending tab to modify just wanted to make sure that only the upper tab was the problem one as there is a lower one too. I can't see anything in the front to worry about.
Thanks

Agree with others. Im lowered 1.5-2 inches with 17x9 +62 w/255's and I don't rub. At stock height you shouldn't have to do anything to anything.

You definitely don't need to do any modifications.

You all were right about the rears but the 255's in the front have eaten through the fender liner at the tab location. I bent the tab up with my fingers at the track the other day but I guess a small roll is in my future. Perhaps I just need some J's camber adjusters. Guess I have to get some tire temp readings to see if I need them.
