Default removing rear bumper tabs

So I really need to remove my rear bumper tabs. I already rolled my fenders and they only thing that can be rubbing is the tabs. My question is... Do I need to buy a longer bolt to do this when I relocate the tabs? Or do I just cut it off and use everything that i cut off?

Just cut off the tab and get a nut and bolt with washers. You drill farther back on the bumper where the quarter panel still has a lip and put the nut and bolt through it.
