Big thanks to the Evasive crew for letting me hang out with them today! It was awesome and I'm definitely keeping my S now!
Also, a BIG thanks to maxrev for giving me a ride. I think that was the deciding factor

I'm beat after all that driving (SD --> Buttonwillow --> SD is a long drive) and will post the pics tomorrow... But for now, here's a little clip I took with my GoPro camera. It's mounted on Ken's car with Stinky driving for about 3/4 of a lap. (I wasn't paying attention to the battery light and it died) The little I got came out pretty good...

You can't use re-chargable batteries with the Go-Pros.

Use the Lithium Ion Batteries: which are good for 2 runs that max out the 2GB SD card (roughly 45 minutes each). After that, the LI batteries are no good. "Normal" batteries won't last too much more than 1 full 45minute run.

hey, Mark (colakitty) and I talked you at the gas station on Sat night

I tested GoPro with brand new batteries, they last 35 mins of recording

2GB memory is also about 56 mins

so that means you need new batteries every session, and new SD card every 2 sessions

so you ready to drive next time?

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind!

I think the problem was that since I JUST got it, I've been playing around with it for a couple days and just wasn't paying attention...

I tested with Duracell Alkaline batteries from Costco, $20 for a pack of 24

I wasted 2 new batteries just to see how long it actually last, it's about 35 mins

and re-charhable batteries actually works, my friend tested it and his lasts 40 mins
