Default catalytic converter test pipe

Thinking of getting one for track days. Is it worth? Any mod's, sensors, need to be removed jumped out? Last track day i didn't have a catch can, still have to get one, but ran over a quart of oil thru the intake vent. Was blowing some pretty big clouds of smoke. Just really worried what it's done to the cat converter. So i was thinking of a test pipe. ??
Thanks, Charlie

No. I don't use a test pipe because it is illegal to do so. I recommend you should not either.

My car is not a really a daily driver anymore. Mainly just track day fun. 5k miles yearly tops on the street. I would love to go racing it but just don't have that kinda money. Problem is i think i ruined the cat with all the oil run thru it. I see these test pipes on ebay and just wanted a little info on them. But hey for $50 i think i give one a try. I've wasted alot more then that on a good drunken nite.
