oboy.
here it comes
I will start.

How in gods name can you feel the difference with a strut bar on a car that has no struts.

Forgive me for using the wrong terminology, do you go to the manufacturers of these "Strut bars" to tell them that they're labeling their products incorrectly?

Also, if I was able to put on the shock tower bar while the car was on the ground, I wouldn't have guessed that the s2000 had some flex in their shock towers, but since I bar would not line up while the car was on the ground, it lead me to believe that the brace does actually prevent some flexing.

And what's with this elitist attitude and vibe that I'm getting here on s2ki? Everyone that clearly tracks their s2k are automatically gods to s2k suspension and chassis tuning? This is quite disappointing seeing this display of behavior especially since I've generally regarded s2k as more mature

I'm looking for serious answers (and if all of these comments are indeed serious, then my apologies), not a bunch of sarcastic and witty responses

the reason we all get uptight is because its stuff like what you are asking about has been argued in the past extensively.

here is just one example
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=489142&st=0
go to page 4 about half way down you will see a illustration on the whole subject.

all the stuff does not help. Its been gone over.
we are not really assholes we just get tired of wasting time.

Dude, you won't find any respect here for telling us that it makes you feel better to have strut bars.

If you measure some lap time differences, come back and tell us.

(And the point about the lack of "struts" is that the top of the shock does not locate the suspension in any way that a strut bar would help. It only takes up and down loads there.)

Who said I was looking for respect when making a comment and opinion? Did I, in some way, insult or offend you? I didn't know this was such a one-sided debate, I'm sorry for being so ignorant

Also, just because the differences aren't measured in lap times doesn't mean that it doesn't make a difference, especially in intermediate levels of driving.

The fact that the coilovers are able to cause chassis deflection in such a measurable matter that it'll prevent installing a shock tower/strut/"noob" bar should indicate that they do minimize chassis flex

To all who have given their insight and experiences, I thank you, much appreciated

You think you are being sarcastic here, when you should be saying this seriously. Ah well. It's your money and your life to live. But having valued an education all my life (and spent a damn lot of money backing that up), I'm not sorry for being less ignorant.

Thanks for the enlightenment, Mike

Anyone have any positive experiences on these other than saying that they're useless added weight or people posting here to raise their post count?
