Clunking noise from the rear
Not sure where to put this but since alot of you track junkies are running KWs I thought I would get more response here.
I recently installed KW Variant 3 with OEM top hats and now I am getting a clunking noise from the rear. All the bolts are tightened and I have loaded the suspension and then tightened everything. I never had this issue prior to installing the KWs. Is it safe for me to drive around?
Thanks in advance.

Interesting. I've had a mild clunking noise, even when creeping at 20 mph, with my JRZ's since installed 4 years ago and could never find the source of the sound. Tried padding the hoses, canisters, checked all bolts on suspension and bodywork, and never solved it. Still a mystery.
I think I have heard the same sound before and checked everything. Everything was tight and just fine...
Good luck with it, but I think if everything is tight then there shouldnt be a big issue

OT but one of the allen key screws that holds the spring perch in place has been stripped and does not really thread. Would this cause the springs to move?
Are you talking about a single clunk, or a continuous doogadoogadoogadooga noise in response to pavement irregularities? I've got the latter with stock springs on Penskes. I'm starting to think that it's one of the stock parts that wasn't designed to deal with as much damping as I have.
I've had the lower forks machined to exactly fit the bolts, padded the reservoirs, clamped them down hard with hose clamps, padded the reservoir hoses...
