Default Clutch / flywheel

I use my car a few times a week on the street. Will do 12-18 HPDE's this year will r compound and track pads. For that type of use I was planning to go with hardtopguys flywheel-PP-disc package. I have read what I can find on the forums. Anybody have advice other than this set up for clutch replacement? THANKS!

Why would you bother replacing the OEM stuff with another one before its dead, when you're only doing HPDEs? It's your money, but I see no need to do that.

I haven't personally tried it but I've heard the ACT clutch + flywheel is a great setup. Personally it's what I'd go with, though I'm sure there are other great options out there as well.

I've got an AP2. Is it better to go with an AP1 flywheel since it's lighter? My car is NA so stock is fine with me.

I would. I have an AP1 and I would go even lighter. Reduction of rotating mass = good stuff.

ACT clutch/flywheel/pressure plate here. I did notice a bit of difference in acceleration when i got it. and if your worried about daily driving the pedal pressure is not bad at all. im running the street disk. suppose to handle 350 lbs of torque. but definatly a good mod if your going to get a new clutch.

the only think i notice. with the weather changing from winter to spring, and going from 45 degree temps one day to 60 degree temps the next (thanks South Carolina!) the clutch pedal seems soft on day and hard the next. anyone have any insite on this???
