Welp... just talked to Tri-Point. They are making changes to the design because Gary's was rubbing in certain places. They can't sell anything for at least 3 months due to other projects... same story as anyone else.

Looks like there's no chance of getting anything handled by Ft. Myers, maybe by the April events. I'm going to keep shaking as many trees as possible with the hopes of getting some blade-adjustable bars made.

For my 4th consecutive reply, I'll add that Tri-Point is going to make 2 bars, a 1.25" with .125" wall for street, and a 1.25" with .250" wall for autox.

Thomason's bar was 1.25" with .250" wall.

I'd be interested in a good adjustable bar such as Jason has been suggesting. Timing is important, also - I need to place a stake in the ground soon. I can wait if I know that someone is working diligently on one but will have to entertain other possibilities if things drag out too long. I want to buy only once...

Having talked to Gary Thomason about his Tri-Point bar, he said that he felt it still wasn't enough on concrete.

I'm going to help Comptech with the testing of their new bar also. Many thanks to Annie and Ron who recommended they make a few for different people around the country to test. Ft. Myers will be the first test, then Meridian.

I'd still eventually like to get a blade-adjustable bar made, but for now this will do nicely and help Comptech in the process. Their bar will be much the same size as Gary's although not adjustable. Should be a good baseline for the slider-adjustable bar that Comptech is planning. I'll keep the board posted on the progress with the bar.

Jason,

I love the way you're carrying the whole thread yourself !

You could suggest me as a tester since we are racing year around here in Hawaii, though I don't have my race rubber yet. I may still be able to offer feedback (though I'd be the first to admit sending things back and forth could be expensive)

We just got 5 prototypes of these bars into stock and three are sold and shipped as of today. That leaves two. We're looking for a couple more hopefully nationally competitive drivers who want to try one and give us feedback so we can finallize a design for an adjustable bar. Please phone me at 916-933-1080.

These will be an outright purchased part, not being loaned out or anything like that. If you are seriously interested, we can discuss details when you call me.
