Those are pretty thin wheel spacers, but if you didn't change studs, that's about all that's safe. I tried on some 7/16", about twice as thick, but nut just didn't catch enough threads.
Where did you get them? Did you change studs?

Gregg... they are H&R Spacers available at King Motorsports. I talked with Scott, and he was confident that there was enough thread on the stock studs to handle 5mm extra. Stock Class rules allow 7mm, but no-one really makes 7mm spacers.
Not sure how the spacers would be as a stand-alone mod, but all the mods together are sure to make a difference. An extra 10mm of track front and rear is sure to help.

I mistyped. I have not 7/16 but 7/32 inch spacers, equivalent to 5.6 mm. I got these at a local parts store made by that well known supplier of "performance" parts, Mr. Gasket. H&R spacers looks better and appear to have a centerpiece that fits into the wheel center, which may help brace the stud. On the other hand mine cost a fraction as much.
Anyway with mine I could only get a little over 6 threads (turns). 5 mm would gain only 1/3 thread. While a standard 12 x 1.5 mm nut only has 5 threads, an open top lug nut of that size has 8. In other words, the stud would not reach all the way through the nut, which has always been an instant reject at tech inspection. Closed top nut hides it, but it still seems questionable.
How many turns do you get? Maybe the studs vary.
Stock legal spacer max is .25 inch = 6.35mm btw.
