Default Congrats to S2k Nasa Champs, Chi is new TTC National Champ!

Congrats to Chi (aceking66) in his TTC S2000 taking the national win at Road Atlanta this weekend!
Despite jumping back from turbo to NA a few months back and having no seat-time then losing a tire mid way thru the competition he was able to get the job done.

Also congrats to John Oldt putting his S2k on the podium in Honda Challenge H1 running against the super motor HP Integras.

As well as needing balls at Road Atlanta we found out it realy helps to bring a large amount of HORSEPOWER with the TTB s2k's outgunned on a hot track.
Wynn still going about a second faster than anyone realy thinks an s2000 should be able to lap but losing too much time on the straights.

I want to say thanks to Anthony at AV Tuning for an awesome tune and remapping my car by email at the event
Also Drew at deft motion for for keeping me in t-shirts and helping bash my fenders out between sessions!

Great job Dan, Chi, Wynn, Dysen and John! I was trying to follow the timing over the weekend but it seemed like they were having some issues from time to time. I wish they had some live internet footage like at Miller last year. I figured that Firebird and M3 in TTB were going to be tough, but didn't know there would be an equally fast Subie.

It was sad to see the low TT entries. Hopefully the Western championship has a higher count. I'll be interested to see if NASA does the dual championship again next year or moves back to the single format (with hopefully a more centralized track choice).

Nice!

Based on those times looks like the S2000 doesn't stand a chance in TTB unless you add some power.

Yes, I would say the S2000 is at a disadvantage (nationally) at the larger tracks with the way TTB is currently. At a tighter course, I think the guys would have had a better chance. TTC is still the best fit for the S2000 if you want to be nationally competitive.

I realy struggled saturday, mostly got my shit together sunday within a tenth of chi's time but DNF'd right after going for the kill!
I felt like chi had more time in hand tbh he did a great job to turn up and start reeling off fast laps.
I held onto 2nd, brought the car home in one piece based off the past year I had thats a good result!

Congrats to Chi and Dan for podium finishes in TTC. Yeah, HP trumps aero/grip at RAtl as the TTB cars that were closer to TTB ratios were FAST! T3 is really the devil for me, I didn't have the balls to go fast through there.

All n all, it was a blast to be in the company of Dan, Wynn, Chi. If anyone has the picture of Wynn, Dan and myself at grid impound looking at Wynn's car on Sunday, I would like to have it. Memories for a lifetime.
