Corner Balance Question
#11
Thanks for all the responses guys. I knew I would get people with experience to chime in. Since I have a lifetime alignment at Firestone I got one for the time being until the corner balance next month.
Look like opinion on this thread is no end links are necessary for stock sway bars.

I think you should get the adjustable endlinks before the corner balance. If you are being nitpicky enough to spend $200 on a corner balace/alignment, then spend the $80 with Anorexicpoodle and do it right. You have to remove the preload while corner balancing.

I followed his steps and got my car to 51/49 per corner before going to the shop. Needless to say, I wasted my money.

What about this approach: disconnect both bars just for the corner balance. After balancing, check if the end links align with the mounting holes. If they do, or are very close, then probably no need for adjustable end links.

Pretend your car is a McLaren and just ditch the sways bars completely - weight savings. No swaybars, no clunky, heavy end-links. Run 20kg or 1200lbs. springs to compensate for the parts removal. Boom. done.
JK. FWIW, I didn't bother with adjustable endlinks either. I'm on stock sways (CR front / '06 rear) with 700/600 lbs. springs.
-Corner balanced with me sitting in the car with full tank of gas and all other extraneous items removed (how I'd run it at the track)
-Alignment following that
