Default Cracked brake caliper dust boot

Sorry but I'm too lazy to search the archives. I changed my front pads this morning and noticed a cracked dust boot on the driver's front brake caliper. Looks like it might have been that way for a while. Is this something to be concerned about? I plan on going to B-Willow on Friday. I can get it fixed afterwards... I hope. BTW, where do you buy the re-build kits?

TIA
Craig (working too much and not racing enough )

Craig, where've you been??

Cracked dust boot is no problem. Most are melted away completely. I ran mine for a least a year all melted. I know Majestic Honda sells the kit, but probably any Honda source, including dealers, will.

Richard,

I've been working my a** off (Ry, you need the "booty" smile that OTR has).

Last event was with PCA/OCR at Streets when you guys were running the big track with OTC. I was instructing so didn't have time to come and say hi. Saw your car going thru T8. How did you do?

Thanks for the info on the dust boot. It's melted as you described. I'll get it fixed later.

Are you going Friday?

Finished mid-pack even with Todd Southwell as codriver. Car wasn't fast enough. I was at PCA/POC at Fontana couple weekends ago. Just posted the vid. Too bad you weren't there. PCA does AMB timing now and was a lot of fun. I can't make it Friday, unfortunately, nor Willow next week, but plan to be at Fontana on 6-25.

Sure, blame it on the car

Still waiting for Erik to post Part 3 of his OTC experience so I can explain why my car was slower than his.
